5th Bimbache OpenArt Festival opened
On July 7th, the 5th annual Bimbache OpenArt Festival opened with great success. Mariem Hassan (West Sahara) and María Mérida (Canarias) joined the
multinational ensemble, culminating in a joint performance of Arrorró.
Contemporary dancer Guillermo Horta (Cuba) created the evening's set and presented various multi-media pieces which integrated local folklore
musicians.
The process of 'Convivencia' (in this case, living together for a week to develop common musical and personal ground) once again proved its merits.
For all of you who may be interested in attending the remaining events, the next Convivencia (with Nantha Kumar/Singapore, Kike Perdomo/Spain, Kasper
Soeborg/Denmark, Omar Rodriguez Calvo/Cuba and others) will begin on July 26 and perform July 29-31 in El Hierro, on August 2 in Tenerife and on
August 5th in Gran Canaria.
